What exactly is a disciple? How does strengthening the physical core of our bodies relate to strengthening the four CORE disciplines of our Christian faith? And what is the first and most important quality you must have if you want to mentor others? In this first lesson we will answer these questions and then unpack six dynamics of discipleship from Philippians 2:12-13—our CORE verse!

The Fugitive, Castaway, The Guardian, Rocky Four—what do all these movies have in common? The all portray a storyline of redemption. We all love stories of redemption, but the gospel, the story of “good news,” is the best (and truest) of them all. In this session we will explore what salvation - our story of redemption - is truly all about and three critical dynamics we must understand about the Holy Spirit who empowers us to work out our salvation—from the inside out

How do we read the Bible and effectively pray? Where do we even start? This section answers those two questions by giving a practical plan for every believer to have a structured time with God each day. Believers will learn two acronyms—one to follow as they read the Bible and one to follow as they pray—and then how to put it all together in a daily routine. We conclude with three key reasons why believers should continue to connect with God through church attendance.

This section covers one of the most important privileges we have as believers—offering our lives to God as our highest expression of worship. Because God gave His one and only Son, Jesus should be our one and only Lord and this session empowers believers to live their lives in this way. We will also cover five ways to walk in freedom over sin, define Biblical stewardship, and how to be faithful with three key areas of life He has entrusted us with. The Holy Spirit helps us to offer our whole lives to God as we walk in Holiness—from the inside out.

What has God created me to do? How do I know when God is speaking to me? What is His plan and purpose for my life? These are questions every believer asks from time to time and this session establishes a Biblical framework to answer each of them. You will also answer five key questions, take a personality profile, and finish a spiritual gifts test all with one goal in mind—discovering God’s will for your life in this season. Lastly, you will understand that while it is God’s will is to release you into greater levels of kingdom influence, the devil’s will is to restrain you and hold you back. We must understand his four playgrounds and learn how to beat him on his turf—which is exactly how this section concludes!

What is perhaps the scariest spiritual discipline for most Christians? Sharing our faith! We’ve all been there….we attempt to tell someone about Jesus and that wall of fear creeps up and we wimp out. Or, we start trying to share Jesus with someone and find ourselves fumbling over our words and end up feeling like a complete idiot. However, you can learn to share your faith simply by remembering three simple phrases.  We will conclude by remembering God’s mandate for all of us to reach the world through global  missions.
